Lizzie Trew is a Pitjantjatjara emerging artist based in Mparntwe (Alice Springs). Lizzie’s primary medium is painting, though her practice is multidisciplinary, encompassing 3-Dimensional sculptures out of paper pulp, ceramics, digital arts, and drawing.
Lizzie paints from memory and imagination; ‘I remember and imagine things, and then I paint them. When I imagine something, I make it real.’ She often paints aliens, planets, motor cars, disco balls, people, and wolves. Lizzie’s work is bold, humorous, colorful, and playful.
Her work was most recently exhibited in an exhibition at Watch This Space called ‘This is a sand dune or another planet or whatever’.
