Bindi Magic 2025

to start — at Bindi Mwerre Anthurre Artists

This September, the Bindi Mwerre Anthurre Artists will unveil their highly anticipated annual group exhibition, Bindi Magic. The exhibition celebrates the latest works from both established artists—many of whom have been painting at Bindi for over two decades—and exciting new and emerging talents.

Bindi Magic is a vibrant showcase of Central Australia’s essence, beauty, and humor, as captured through the eyes of the artists. Each piece offers a unique glimpse into the life, landscapes, and stories of the region, deeply rooted in the artists’ personal connections to country.

Since 2000, the Bindi Mwerre Anthurre Artists studio has provided a creative space for Indigenous artists living with disabilities, supporting them to develop and express their artistic practice. The artists come from diverse communities across the Central Desert, from Kaltukatjara (Docker River) to Yuendumu, with many residing in Mparntwe (Alice Springs). For each artist, the act of painting is not only an expression of self, but a profound connection to their cultural landscape.
